The King talks about 'Danish Rush':
"Danish Rush started as a warm up jam during rehearsals and quickly became something we wanted to record for the upcoming album, Hadal Zone Express.
The title came from an old discussion I had with Speedo about a made-up danish version of the band Rush.
Since the song was kinda fast and in your face the meaning shifted and evolved into a story about someone being chased by a danish mob.
As you know; Sweden and Denmark have a long common history with lots of fun toes to step on.
We briefed Papa Bear about an idea for the video where someone would be chased naked through Copenhagen in one long take.
Him, Peder and Johan then took it off in a slightly different and realizable direction.
They went all in and did a fantastic video for us that we are very proud of!
We did our scenes in front of the bus late one night at Cirkus Cirkörs parking lot in Stockholm and I remember freezing a lot.
The Vicar had a cold so extra kudos should go to him for putting up with that.
We were around helping out for most of the other scenes and it was fun hanging out with all the great and creative people on and off camera.
I have to mention Olle from Dead Lord that plays the main character - everyone was really impressed with his acting and his personality and charm makes the whole thing work I think.
The c64 bonus part turned out great and added that little extra something at the end.
The full SID (blip blop) version of the song can be found on the Danish Rush single on Spotify and was done by our friend Tos Besten. I think it’s bloody brilliant - he even nailed the solo!"
